According to reports, Neil Young has asked Spotify to remove his songs in response to Joe Rogan’s vaccine disinformation.! Latest News! Viral News!

Neil Young has requested that his music be deleted from Spotify following the spread of vaccine misinformation on Joe Rogan’s popular podcast via the streaming site.

“They can choose between Rogan and Young. Neither, “According to Rolling Stone magazine, Young, 76, stated as much in an open letter to his manager and record company that was posted to his Neil Young Archives website on Monday.

Rogan, who is well-known for his contrarian and frequently irrational views on medicine, has experienced tremendous backlash for questioning the safety of vaccines during the pandemic.

It is unknown why it was taken down from Young’s website. The original post’s “A-Message-To-Spotify” link presently redirects to a blank website. Young’s representative did not respond. The Canadian-American musician stated in the letter that he wanted his manager and record label to “immediately notify Spotify TODAY that I want all of my music removed from their platform.”

According to Rolling Stone, he stated that he was “doing this because Spotify is distributing false information about vaccines – potentially resulting in death for people who believe the deception.”

Young made it quite obvious that he was talking to “The Joe Rogan Experience,” which is currently Spotify’s most popular podcast. Rogan inked a $100 million agreement with the streaming service last year, granting the service exclusive rights to the show.

“With an estimated 11 million listeners every episode, JRE, which is only available on Spotify,” Young explained. “Spotify bears a responsibility to prevent misinformation from spreading on its platform.”

Demanding that his music be removed from the platform, he wrote: “Please act promptly and keep me updated on the timeline.”

Young’s music remained available on Spotify as of 7 a.m. ET Tuesday morning.

Spotify and Joe Rogan did not immediately respond to NBC News’s nighttime request for comment.

After experiencing outrage following his statements concerning the Covid-19 vaccine, podcaster Joe Rogan stated that he is not an “anti-vax guy.”

Young is not alone in her condemnation of Rogan’s show for its vaccination deception.

Around 270 physicians, researchers, and other health care experts wrote an open letter last month urging Spotify to implement a policy on misinformation, citing Rogan’s “concerning the history of spreading falsehoods, particularly claiming the Covid-19 outbreak.”

“Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Joe Rogan’s podcast has frequently promoted inaccurate and misleading claims, instilling scepticism in science and medicine,” the letter stated.

“By facilitating the spread of erroneous and societally harmful assumptions, Spotify enables its hosted media to erode public trust in scientific research and raise doubt about the integrity of data-driven recommendations supplied by medical professionals,” the company stated.

The letter’s signatories took issue primarily with an interview Rogan had with Dr Robert Malone, who said that Americans had been “hypnotised” into wearing masks and receiving vaccinations.

Rogan also appeared to discourage young people from getting vaccinated in an April 2021 broadcast.

He also appeared to advocate for the use of ivermectin to battle Covid-19 in September, after admitting to using the widely discredited medicine himself following a positive test for the virus. The medicine is normally used on livestock, and public health officials have cautioned people to avoid taking it to treat Covid-19.

Rogan has stated that he is not an “anti-vax person” and that he should not be relied upon for medical advice due to his lack of medical training. He has also stated that he believes his remarks were exaggerated. Respond swiftly to an evening comment request.
